Petroleum pump prices, 15 October – 14 November 2016

ERC has calculated the maximum retail pump prices of petroleum products which will be in force from 15th October to 14th November 2016.

Taking into account the weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products, the changes in the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices in Nairobi are as follows: Super Petrol increases by KShs 0.17 per litre, Diesel decreases by KShs 0.34 per litre while Kerosene decreases by KShs 0.39 per litre.

The changes in this month’s prices have been as a consequence of the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol increasing by 0.81% from US$ 475.48 per ton in August 2016 to US$ 479.33 per ton in September 2016; Diesel decreasing by 1.31% from US$ 441.19 per ton to US$ 435.40 per ton and Kerosene decreasing by 4.14% from US$ 451.77 per ton to US$ 433.07 per ton.

ERC sets the maximum pump prices for super petrol, diesel and kerosene each month in accordance with Legal Notice No. 196 of 2010, the Energy (Petroleum Pricing) Regulations and the amendment thereof. A copy of these regulations can be downloaded from the link below.
